I'm crying a bit watching the Olympics-they've been covering a woman and her son's story from Uzbekistan. She now represents Germany because he was diagnosed with leukemia and she had to find healthcare for him. He's in remission and she is absolutely incredible in gymnastics despite being much older than the average gymnast. Beautiful story-just felt like talking about it and I'm alone about to go to bed. Big things are afoot for me.

I didn't see that particular story, but I think I've cried about a dozen times already, half of them just in the opening ceremonies.

LOVE THE KB PICTURE!!! You are AWESOME.

Marla-I am really enjoying the olympics this time-I can't say I ever have before but maybe that's because I finally made the mental shift to feeling like an athlete and not someone wanting to lose weight. Thank you, thank you!

Missed the Uzbekistanian leukemia mom, but I so couldn't have watched that without tearing up!

Crabby-I tear up easily if it involves sick kids or great recovery stories! It was highly inspirational to see how far the mom went for her kid and how great they are doing now.

I haven't been able to watch the Olympics yet this year, but I'm always amazed at how emotional I get watching those kinds of sports stories.

Can't wait to hear about the big things afoot for you!

G.G.,
The big things afoot are basically just me kicking myself into gear and I'll write about it soon-if not tonight than tomorrow. I realized how much time I spend online looking at blogs and such when I kept track of it today and yikes!
Anyway, part of my plan is to have dedicated time to blog because when I actually take the time to do it and to interact with others (such as your lovely self)I get a lot out of it.
