Thank you Marla! What a great way to start my day. Also, we did take pictures wearing vintage stuff and as soon as my friend posts them to me I will put some up. I'm also going to be trying out some stuff from a vintage hair community site-I have yet to find any slinky like apparatus for hairdos so you have to send me a link on that.
I couldn't find any really good links, I guess it's hard to find instructions for a 60-year-old hairdo! But there's this:

that's essentially what I remember my mother having - they're either tubes or doughnut-shaped, and you wrap your hair around them. I think that's how those 1940s chicks got that hairstyle with the big lifted up sides.
Ahh I see, I've seen something like that when people do victory rolls (one of the on the side of the head lifted up side styles)and I wondered about that. Awesome! I wish I knew someone IRL to tutor me in the ways of old school glam.
I'm a 27 yr old, first time mom, happily married, SAHM/full time student working towards a degree in Clinical Nutrition. We bought a 2006 Volkswagen Rabbit and I love it-named it Boudreaux.

Thanks! Now I have it all pinned up and pulled back to go get sweaty in the garage with a good workout. And it still looks cute! Yay!
LOVE IT! And as always I'm floored by how pretty you are!
